Following a long career in public library and cultural administration, Keith Turnbull now works primarily as a ceramic sculptor. He has studied at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Extension, the City Arts Centre, Harcourt House Arts Centre and the Sculptors’ Association of Alberta. He specialises in figurative sculpture in clay and other mediums.
Keith Turnbull is a former president of the Edmonton Arts Council, and recently completed terms on the boards of Harcourt House Arts Centre and Creative Age Edmonton. He currently sits on the board of the Sculptors’ Association of Alberta. In 2011 he worked with Ritchie Velthuis and a team of artists to create the Homeless Memorial, a public art sculpture installed north of City Hall.
