Shelly Leroux is a visual artist and educator based in Edmonton, Alberta.
Leroux completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kwantlen University (2012) and a Bachelor of Education degree from Simon Fraser University (2014), where she majored in Fine Arts Education and minored in Environmental Education.
Shelly Leroux is working at Victoria School of the Arts teaching in the high school visual arts department with a focus in the ceramics program.
Leroux specializes in work that explores the intersection between science and art. “Process” is at the heart of her artwork. It is an ever-evolving exploration of the cause and effect of different combinations of form, colour, chemical reactions, and chance. She works with clay sculptures and pottery.
Her work has been shown in a range of shows in Western Canada, most notably in Edmonton, Surrey, Vancouver, and Seattle.
